Haksa Yarn
Certified recycled yarn.
Using fibre recovered from recycling, we produce eco-friendly recycled yarns in a range of colours and counts on advanced Open End machines. Exporting to seven continents, we are one of the world's leading producers of recycled yarn.
Blends
Custom blends.
Recycled cotton fibre is blended in set proportions with fibres such as viscose, nylon and Repreve® to produce high-quality yarn in different colours and counts.
Cotton / Polyester
Our most common blend. Durable, economical, wide colour range.
Cotton / Repreve®
A fully traceable blend with Repreve®, made from recycled PET bottles.
Wool / Acrylic / Polyester
A warm, soft-handle blend for knitwear and winter products.
Cotton / Acrylic / Polyester
A flexible, shape-retaining three-way blend for socks and knitted fabric.
Acrylic / Polyester
Vivid colour and high bulk; ideal for blankets and home textiles.
100% Polyester
Fully recycled polyester for technical and industrial uses.
End uses
A broad range of end uses.
We are not limited to shade-card colours; we develop our customers' own colours and submit them for approval. On advanced plying and twisting machines we ply yarn up to 10-fold and twist it to suit the end use.
Production process
A five-stage production process.
-
01
Collection and sorting
Textile waste generated during fabric manufacturing is collected and sorted by colour and fibre type.
-
02
Tearing
Sorted waste is processed in cotton tearing machines and opened into fibre.
-
03
Carding
Carding is repeated several times so the fibres are cleaned and blended evenly.
-
04
Blending
Fibres are blended with viscose, nylon or Repreve® according to customer demand and technical specification.
-
05
Spinning and twisting
Yarn spun on Open End machines is plied and twisted up to 10-ply as required.
